We are seeking a Supplier Quality Manager to join our Minerals Procurement Global Quality team. You will lead the quality team in Finland in charge of developing and managing quality functions. You will also be engaged in supplier quality management, including, but not limited to, supplier and product development, quality compliance programs, and activities for Metso interests and customer satisfaction and success in building up a sustainable supply base in Finland.
You will work with various BL quality teams globally within Metso, Procurement, and Metso suppliers in the Baltic Region. You will report to the Senior Global Quality Manager.
This position could be in Espoo or Lappeenranta, Finland, and we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. It involves at least 35% of travel to the supplier and manufacturing sites.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES

  • Master’s or bachelor’s in metallurgical, materials, and mechanical engineering.
  • Heavy industry experience/background in manufacturing or quality for 5 years minimum.
  • Welding and casting product, manufacturing, and quality knowledge.
  • Proficient with drawings, specifications, manufacturing, inspection, and related standards.
  • Extensive experience in auditing suppliers locally or globally; lead auditor certification is an asset.
  • English language, reading, writing, and speaking skills at an advanced level.
  • Highly motivated individual who can work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, team management experience, and interpersonal and presentation skills to manage internal and external interfaces.
  • You must be able to travel both domestically and internationally without restrictions.
  • You have a valid driver’s license (Class A or greater)
