Description:

This position performs a variety of receiving, inventory, stocking and disbursement, and equipment provisioning and cleaning functions. Performs supply chain functions to support clinical operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains current inventory records by decrementing and incrementing items to reflect activity levels to provide for continuously available accurate information. Proactively identifies and communicates inventory discrepancies (between the physical and system counts). Adheres to established standards for picking items according to the pick ticket. Participates in ongoing cycle counts. Manages expiration dates according to established standards.
  • Receives incoming shipments into ERP system, places in correct central supply bin and shelf locations, and confirms units of measure and appropriate dispensing units. Assists in resolving and reporting issues related to incoming item damages, substitutions, back orders, and misdirected orders. Delivers and stocks items in clean supply locations. Administers routine and adhoc supply orders.
  • Cleans and sanitizes unit specific equipment. Performs surface disinfection in accordance with established procedures. Performs visual inspection of equipment as part of cleaning. Identifies visible issues and notifies appropriate unit manager. Maintains inventory of equipment in holding locations.
  • Receives supply and equipment requests from departments and coordinates delivery of items to ensure accuracy and timeliness of response in accordance with established standards.
  • Participates in a variety of unit and hospital educational programs to maintain current skills and competency levels.
  • Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
