We are inviting applications for a commercial finance business partner to join the finance team supporting the One Supply Chain agenda with a focus on the Wholesale side of the business. Hybrid working will apply.
The role will be heavily involved in the budgeting, planning & forecasting of the business, also providing commercial insight and analysis on strategic projects. The components of the role are both structured & varied, delivering to the changing business needs.

Responsibilities:

ROLE PURPOSE:

  • Provide support to the Head of Supply Chain Finance, Supply Chain Directors, Warehouse & Transport Managers as well as the wider supply chain team in all areas of financial analysis and reporting
  • Have full responsibility for the divisional financial reporting (weekly/periodic/quarterly), quarter-end hard close & forecast/budgeting whilst also feeding into the consolidated SC reporting
  • Provide accurate, timely and relevant information on financial and business performance
  • Provide a business partnering approach with a curious and proactive mindset which delivers insight and challenges the supply chain team
  • Ensure robust financial control environment to safeguard company assets

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

  • Produce periodic financial information including financial KPI’s, payroll reporting and financial variance reporting with a high level of insight, ensuring that all reports are published in accordance with agreed timeframes and to a high standard
  • Ensure compliance with all operational processes and procedures within supply chain
  • Advise divisional management team, FC & FD of trends or potential financial risks arising within Supply Chain
  • Building relationships with the relevant members of the Supply Chain team to investigate cost variances and collaborate on strategic business initiatives
  • Deliver supporting analysis for forecasts and budgets for assigned areas throughout the year ensuring high levels of data accuracy
  • Works with the wider Finance team to ensure alignment on the Finance objectives, budgets & targets
  • Builds and maintains cross functional relationships with other Support functions providing support on new and improved ways to drive improvement & profit for the business.
  • Deliver on group financial reporting requirements, i.e. forecast, budget, 3 year strategy plan, and other ad hoc reporting requirements arising from projects
