The Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Industrial Engineering organization is seeking an Associate (Level 2), Mid-Level (Level 3) or Lead (Level 4) Industrial Engineer to support the Supply Chain Engineering team located in Everett, WA. A Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate (Level 2), Mid-Level (Level 3) and Lead (Level 4) Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performing capacity analysis and recommending an optimal execution strategy based on the supplier resource (labor, machine, and production system) to enable an efficient, effective, and optimized production process.
  • Prepare, assess, and conduct post-activities for a Production Readiness Assessment.
  • Create, develop and utilize data analytics/modeling to enhance decision making and extend this to the external supply base.
  • Conducts analysis of current and future business environment using established guidelines.
  • Develops forecast, acquisition, and utilization plans to optimize resources in support of company initiatives and program business plans under the guidance of experienced analysts.
  • Contributes to the development of labor hour estimates for new or revised production and tooling work packages under the guidance of experienced analysts.
  • Monitors performance to established labor hour estimates.
  • Assists in the identification and implementation of improvements to processes by analyzing current processes and utilizing established improvement methodologies to maximize the efficiency of equipment and personnel and to support company improvement initiatives.
  • Assesses the impact of the changes that occur to cost, schedule, resources, and delivery.
  • Develops modifications to existing plans and obtain approval.
  • Gathers and analyzes shop performance metrics to support a recommend plan of action.

THIS POSITION MUST MEET EXPORT CONTROL COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS. TO MEET EXPORT CONTROL COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS, A “U.S. PERSON” AS DEFINED BY 22 C.F.R. §120.15 IS REQUIRED. “U.S. PERSON” INCLUDES U.S. CITIZEN, LAWFUL PERMANENT RESIDENT, REFUGEE, OR ASYLEE.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 1+ years of experience with project leadership leading cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to travel 50%-75%.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 2+ years of experience with LEAN manufacturing.
  • 2+ years of experience in process modeling and simulation.
  • Proficient in structured problem solving and strong analytical skills.

    Associate: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
    Mid-Level: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
    Lead: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4, Master+7 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
    Relocation:
    This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
