Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO

This position is responsible for managing national Supply Chain standards for AVI-SPL including carrier selections/relationships, shipping methods, carrier scorecards, and national logistics contracts/lane negotiations in order to enhance margin as it relates to logistics. There is a preference for this role to be based out of Toronto.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze and evaluate company’s procedures and policies as it pertains to inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Manage team of Logistics Coordinators and/or Warehouse personnel to ensure outbound shipments from office locations are efficiently scheduled and consolidated when possible.
  • Perform national bid process or lane negotiations with carriers as appropriate.
  • Track and maintain acceptable levels of DIFOT and internal customer service metrics.
  • Maintain carrier scorecards and conduct quarterly reviews with carriers on agreed upon SLA’s.
  • Work with Procurement to optimize inbound shipments from vendors and negotiate price breaks on equipment due to optimized shipments.
  • Assist local offices with analysis and strategy for last-mile delivery to customer sites.
  • Provide Sales team with accurate estimates for projects involving complex supply chain challenges.
  • Work with local offices to establish best practices for implementation of countermeasures.
  • Track compliance with countermeasures and follow up to ensure compliance.
  • Analyze and interpretate shipping data from multiple carriers.
  • Recommend and document changes and follow up with appropriate areas to ensure required changes are implemented.
  • Create and provide reports as needed.
  • Other duties assigned as needed.
