Description:

The Supply Chain Manager (f,m,d) is responsible for creating and driving the SCM strategy and its actions by leveraging the NBS Next growth framework. Key responsibilities of this role are to create profitable growth by defining a solid supply chain strategy that is focused on our top products and components of tops as well as simplification, execute this strategy within the teams and constantly measure effectiveness and identify areas for process improvement. In addition, the Supply Chain Manager will be responsible to build a strong network of strategic suppliers and focus on risk minimization. The successful postholder has a winning personality with strong analytical and change management skills as well as a dedication for lean management in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and drive all supply chain areas from purchasing (operational and strategic) to warehouse, material planning and shipping in compliance with our strategy, supply chain targets, budget and legal requirements
  • Development and implementation of a holistic supply chain strategy based on the corporate growth framework and our divisional strategy
  • Management, monitoring and continuous improvement of the internal and external supply chain performance based on process metrics along the entire supply chain, from supplier selection to optimal parts procurement and production supply to ensure on-time delivery of our products on the customer’s requested date (OTD)
  • Identification, prioritization and implementation of supply chain-related process improvements in the area of purchasing, planning and logistics processes using Lean and Six Sigma methods
  • Proactively analyze performance deviations, supplier risks and market developments and initiate appropriate countermeasures
  • Plan, implement and control cost reduction measures
  • Realizing quality and delivery targets (OTD) while taking economic efficiency into account
  • Focus on simplification initiatives
  • Collaboration in and management of global supply chain projects and cross-functional projects
  • Leading, coaching and developing employees
  • Ensuring, monitoring and complying with accident prevention regulations (occupational safety) in the responsible area, including technical equipment
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in related field (i.e. Engineering and/or Business Administration)
  • 5+ years’ experience and deep understanding in the areas of SCM including purchasing within industry
  • Experience and proven track record with setting SCM strategies, execute actions and meeting/exceeding targets
  • Progressive continuous improvement experience demonstrating business acumen, leadership, and ability to drive results
  • Willingness to travel and work with international team of professionals
