Job Description
Supply Chain Manager, Procurement Solutions Lead
The Procurement Solutions Lead is accountable for delivering Supply Chain innovation and maturity through the implementation of new and improved processes and practices. The Procurement Solutions Lead provides process optimization and assessment solutions to drive standardization, value, enhance efficiency, reduce costs, mitigate risks, and improve overall operational Supply Chain performance in the area of strategic sourcing, direct and indirect procurement processes, MRP, and vendor collaboration within PDM. As part of GSC SE, you will be a central part of the GSC organization and provide direction and leadership across the key PTD processes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead process design sessions and partner with Global Supply Chain, Source to Settle and Finance business units on their process improvement initiatives and help them achieve their operational goals by identifying breaks in the business processes and developing solutions that help support the objectives.
  • Participate in business solution workshops and share process and integration expertise.
  • Demonstrate clear process understanding of vendor collaboration and information exchange using tools such as Ariba SCC.
  • The Solutions Lead is a key role in the ERP governance council and serves on a team within GSC that is the initial point of assessment and approval for ERP enhancements and changes proposed by the business. He/She will partner with the business and IT to evaluate the business need and value proposition for proposed changes to the ERP system and its boundary applications based on its impact or enhancement to relevant business processes.
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for streamlining and improving sourcing, procurement, and vendor collaboration processes while also maintaining a connection of how sourcing and procurement are positioned across the end to end supply chain, to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Standardization: Develop and implement standardized processes, procedures, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and compliance across all global supply chain operations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, logistics, manufacturing, and quality assurance to align processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Technology Integration: Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and digital solutions to optimize supply chain processes, such as automation, data analytics, and supply chain management systems.
  • Performance Metrics: Define and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of supply chain processes and regularly monitor performance against targets.
  • Responsible for analysis, advisory services, specification and complex problem solving within the SC business processes.
  • Partner with IT to manifest process improvements systematically.
  • Support assessment, process design, business process testing, and deployment of business process enhancements
  • Work closely with System Integrator/IT team to manage/ monitor their priorities and deliverables.
  • Work with IT and application SI/BI to ensure intended solution is delivered according to business process design and requirements.
  • Provide guidance to the businesses on the appropriate use of the ERP system (standard process)
  • Lead system/process implementation activities including design, data migration and training.
  • Manage and enhance the integration points between finance, strategy and planning processes, ERP core components, and other key boundary technology sets.
  • Work within Process & Technology Solutions team to develop process performance monitoring, performance benchmarking, test automation and integration with other applications.
  • Use informal management skill to work with cross-functional groups and contractors to ensure successful and timely deliverables
  • Support strategy, roadmap management & process mapping to support future state supply chain models and strategic decisions
  • Design and implement transformation strategies for global supply chain operations and its partners.
  • Contribute to knowledge-sharing efforts, reviews, and continually improves processes so that the team and GSC can capture and leverage knowledge.
  • Developing and communicating business cases to support recommendations for change to current business practices and processes.
  • The Solutions Lead is expected to be a catalyst and enabler across GSC and PDM value streams to drive teams toward clarity in terms of the business process and the solution needed.
  • Support project management of future state processes & implementation activities: ability to organize, define objectives and scope, identify tasks and milestones, build project schedules, identify resource needs, track project execution, & manage risks
  • Lean facilitator / Lean approach to identify cross-functional value creation of supply chain processes and improvement opportunities
  • Training structures to support supply chain capabilities & build competency roadmaps
  • Focus on the technical platforms supporting supply chain, single source of data, integrated applications and integrated business processes

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in related discipline and extensive experience related to procurement and/or vendor management. OR Masters Degree in related discipline and extensive experience related to procurement and/or vendor management.
  • Must have understanding of technologies that support supply chain and procurement

Preferred Qualifications:

  • (MA preferred) •
  • Lean/Six Sigma Black-Belt active certification is preferred
  • APICS CPIM and CSCP active certification is preferred
  • Significant experience in procurement and/or vendor management role and process improvement with a focus on global operations.
  • Ability to solve complex process or technology problems and partner with IT and the operations to deliver solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication including strong presentation and group speaking skills
  • Strong organizational skills and project management skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as individually and must be able to work with limited direction and be a self-starter
  • Desire to learn new business operations
  • Experience and command of coordinating contract staff
