Description:

THE POSITION

As a Supply Chain Operations (SCO) Manager, you will be joining the Spain / Portugal Cluster and you will be engaged with the distribution activities, project / initiatives at cluster level, being exposed to people management experience.
The role provides Supply Chain management expert advice and counsel to all levels within the Spanish and Portuguese Commercial Operations Organization (OCO) in order to assure the best product supply and customer satisfaction while making effective use of the company resources and in compliance with all applicable regulations.
Success in the role will mean being able to sustain and continuously improve business performance (service/revenue, cost, quality, working capital) and innovate processes in a complex environment with numerous local and regional stakeholders.
As part of the sub-regional SCO Europe extended leadership team, the role will support the development and the implementation of initiatives as per functional priorities.
You will be reporting to the Supply Chain Operations Associate Director for Spain and Portugal

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS

  • Engineer, Business or Supply Chain Master degree with at least 5-7 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain preferably in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain environment in local market
  • Project management experience and track record
  • Lead Cost Improvement projects initiatives track record
  • Highly communicative and capable of installing productive relationship with stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills and financial acumen
  • Autonomous, pro-active, fast learner
  • Knowledge of IT tools, such as Microsoft Office and SAP or others ERP systems
  • Fluent in Spanish and /or Portuguese and English

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLSLS

  • Power BI / Power Automate advanced utilization is an advantage
  • Six Sigma or Lean methodologies prior experience and /or certification is an advantage
  • Prior experience in pharmaceutical industry is preferred
  • Demand Planning and IBP/S&OP previous experience

Responsibilities:

Primary activities include, but are not limited to:

Management:

  • Leading, coaching, develop the team assigned (1 or 2 direct reports)
  • Coordinate the direct report(s)’ work organization and execution

Operations / Financial:

  • Lead 3PL activities oversight
  • Monthly KPIs and SLAs monitoring in adherence with contract provisions for both finished goods and promotional material. Identify improvement paths when gaps are identified. Build internal KPI reporting.
  • Monitor correct ERP interfaces functioning as such to guarantee correct daily inventory reconciliation system-wise
  • Partner the in-market quality function to guarantee qualitative operational execution of our 3PL by attending and leading Monthly Business Reviews and supporting investigations of events related to 3PL operations
  • Support contract management and negotiations with 3PLs providing accurate data analytics and insights on operations both during Request for Proposals (RFP) and during the contract duration
  • Monitor 3PL costing in an accurate way and lead monthly variances explanations versus budget and support the quarterly forecasting / budgeting process
  • Support Cost Improvement initiatives and projects to contribute to the yearly savings and CO2 emissions target
  • Oversight of Demand Planning activities of the cluster portion you’ll be assigned (Demand Review, Forecast submission)
  • IBP attendance / coordinate of the cluster portion you’ll be assigned
  • Collaboration with local and above market functions to ensure uninterrupted supply to the cluster

Stakeholders Management:

  • Build strong and collaborative partnerships with local and regional departments like Quality, Order to Cash and Finance in the local commercial Organization and peers in the SCO Europe Sub-Region
  • Develop a good collaboration with the 3PL
  • Be active part of the Supply Chain Operations community

Compliance:

  • Overseeing the yearly physical inventory count
  • Provide support in case of any Audit and/or Inspection
  • Ensure Compliance of the activities, including SoX or any other internal requirement.
  • Manage the yearly destruction process in accordance to Organon standards and with the assigned market’s legislations
  • Lead operational execution in compliance to all Organon internal standards and procedures and Audit requirements
  • Manage and follow-up Audit points execution with the 3PL
  • Insure alignment with Trade Compliance principles

Projects:

  • Support of periodic Transport Lane Risk Assessment including documentation, reporting and record keeping.
  • Continuous process optimization with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Implementation of projects in cross-functional teams with internal and external stakeholders (Like process automation, simplification, process mapping)
