Description:
We are offering an opportunity for a Supply Chain Planner in the manufacturing industry, based in LANSING, Michigan. The role involves working on the ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning system, ERP Solutions, IBM AS/400, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office Suites. This is a contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions for efficient supply chain planning.
- Operate IBM AS/400 system to manage supply chain processes effectively.
- Use Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites for data analysis, reporting, and documentation related to supply chain planning.
- Ensure timely deliveries by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Handle customer service related to supply chain issues and queries.
- Prepare and manage customs documentation for international shipments.
- Ensure all activities are completed within the stipulated time frame.
- Continually review and improve supply chain processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline supply chain operations.
- Stay updated with industry trends and implement best practices in supply chain management.
- Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
- Knowledge and experience with ERP Solutions
- Familiarity with IBM AS/400
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites
- Experience with About Time software
- Strong customer service skills
- Understanding of customs regulations
- Ability to handle deliveries efficiently
- Excellent documentation skills
- Previous experience in a manufacturing industry
- Prior experience in a supply chain planner role or similar
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
