Description:

SUMMARY:

ProFarm Group (PFG) is a subsidiary of Bioceres Crop Solutions, a global provider of biologically derived fertilizers, inoculants, crop traits, adjuvants, biostimulants and pesticides, serving the ever-expanding agricultural markets. PFG focuses on discovering, developing, and marketing nature-derived biostimulants, as well as pest management products from microbes and plant extracts for the effective control of invertebrate pests, weeds, and plant diseases.
The Supply Chain Planning, Logistics & Inventory Analyst is responsible for inventory movements, tracking and accuracy. This includes organizing warehouse and manufacturing monthly inventory reviews and year end physical counts. In addition to inventory management responsibilities, this position will support short term planning in the SAP ERP System as well as working with the Senior Manager in the planning of priorities for manufacturing sites. This includes creating, maintaining and posting of work orders in SAP. This individual will also support the implementation and maintenance SAP Planning and other modules related to planning such as BOM’s and routings in SAP.

EDUCATION:

  • At a minimum, Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1 to 3 years working in the Supply Chain area.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods.
  • Extensive use of computer keyboard, mouse and monitor.
  • Ability to work in a venue such as a Marrone Michigan Manufacturing, hotel or other organization’s meeting room, conference, or convention space; possible inclusion of weekends.

MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • SAP Supply Chain modules, specially Planning, and Material Management modules.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to senior management, peers, and team members.
  • Ability work in a fast pace environment with changing priorities.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with frequent interruptions and changes in workload priorities, ability to prioritize tasks, ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Support coordination of manufacturing sites as to current production needs and priorities, generation of purchase requisitions, coordination and logistics of raw materials. This includes leading meetings with Profarm Michigan Manufacturing.
  • Lead monthly inventory reconciliations at all sites.
  • Participate and support the yearly audit process activities. This includes working with the auditors in all inquiries, development of required reports and data, and physical counts if required. Participate and support other audits in which the Supply Chain team support is requested.
  • Support inventory and planning by verifying and updating monthly production and sales reports. Analyze inventory discrepancies, report and correct as needed.
  • Support activities related to the set up and maintenance of materials in SAP material master. Support the setup and maintenance of BOMs and Routings.
  • Create, maintain and post production work orders in SAP.
  • Coordinate physical counts of inventory at all sites and execute the proper reconciliation at the end of the accounting periods. Support and attend physical counts at the PFG warehouses.
  • Coordinate logistics of raw materials transfers between manufacturing and warehousing locations.
  • Coordinate logistics of samples and demo shipments with Supply Chain Assistant.
  • Maintain strategic relationships and negotiate with Parcel logistics carriers for domestic and international transportation of samples, and demos from the Davis facility.
  • Review, test and implement improvements with SAP set-up in the inventory and planning modules.

OTHER DUTIES

  • Work with shipping & receiving specialist to ship samples and online orders from warehouses a needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
