Description:
SUMMARY
The Supply Chain Specialist III-Sr has responsibilities supporting Supply Chain operations, sourcing for the Business, and ensuring day-to-day Business needs are achieved. This role will work closely with the function leaders, as well as other key stakeholders to ensure optimal selection of contractors, development of strategic supplier relationships, and manage the delivery of outcomes to support Company’s operational goals.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
- Prepare and issue RFXs, evaluate supplier proposals and prepare bid evaluations in accordance with Company procedures
- Negotiate pricing and commercial terms and conditions with suppliers
- Provide advice and guidance relating to contract terms and conditions, owner obligations, claims avoidance, etc.
- Source and purchase materials and services per specifications provided, as needed to support the broader team
- Manage assigned contracts and supplier performance
- Develop and monitor KPIs for key suppliers
- Ensuring contract commitments are met
- Ensure JERA internal contract documents are accurate, current, and well maintained
- Identify opportunities to improve processes
- Expedites orders and review T&Cs that are critical to operations
- Other special projects and duties as assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- BA / BS degree in Supply Chain Management or related discipline
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in sourcing for direct and/or indirect spend
- Strong computer skills, including SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
- CPM or equivalent certification
- Knowledge of renewables, low carbon technologies, thermal
- Minimum of five years of direct contract management experience in a fast-paced corporate / large scale project environment
- Good organizational, planning and implementation skills, including the ability to coordinate and work in a team environment
- Familiarity with various forms of complex business agreements, ability to read and identify pertinent information from agreements/contracts
- Be self-starting, highly organized, outgoing with excellent people skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Time management skills
- Action oriented with a record of achieving business goals
