Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

As supply project manager (SPM), you will be part of the core project team which includes engineering function, manufacturing, sales and quality. For your assigned project you will report to your program manager. Functionally you will report to the SPM manager for our business unit. As member of the core team, you will be in charge of one project from nomination until start of production, therefore your main tasks will be :

  • Is responsible for all of the suppliers (choosing, communication), depending on his project during the development phase (2 years) from the quality, cost and planning point of view
  • At the beginning of a project, he sets the budget in accordance to project objectives
  • Guides and coordinates all of the technical changes in the project with the supplier
  • Negotiates according to projects cost, quality and deadline
  • Is responsible for problem-free start of the serial production
  • Is responsible for keeping up with the validation time plan when purchasing the desired parts
  • Solves all of the problematic situations with the suppliers
  • Prepares the project status (RPM) papers for his manager who attends milestones review
  • He is in charge to follow the critical topics identified during RPM/milestones review
  • Functionally manages the project team support
  • Manages purchasing requests
