Job Introduction
Lansdowne Secure Children’s home is one of only 14 in the UK and is a modern, state of the art building with excellent and diverse facilities. If you can judge children on there best days not their worst, we have a vacancy for a Support Services Manager to make an impact on the lives of children who need it the most.
The postholder will be responsible for leading the Support Services Team and ensuring the day-to-day financial, business and building operations of the service meet the needs of the children. Whilst this role is approximately 80% based at Lansdowne Secure home, there will be the need to visit our other children’s open homes and disability homes across the county to oversee the support services teams.

- Senior Leadership and Management of all aspects of Support Services, including reception, administration, information, finance, catering, facilities and housekeeping.
- Support the Secure Childrens Home Service Manager (RHM) to provide clear and visible leadership in an inclusive and positive working environment, emphasising high quality outcomes for children and ensuring that the vision and ethos of the home is embraced and followed by all.
- Ensure effective service delivery is maintained in line with the statement of Purpose and Function by responsibly and innovatively allocating the available resources; inclusive of negotiating and renegotiating contracts where required to ensure quality and best value.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Ability to manage a significant budget and meet financial efficiencies.
- Project Management experience with the ability to delegate effectively
- Negotiating and Influencing skills with a strong approach to quality assurance and remedy
- Strong ICT skills
