We are proud to be a leading partner of the Support to Succeed project!
This is a new project which identifies, engages, and supports economically inactive Greater Manchester residents who are furthest away from the labour market, with complex needs (including those who are not engaged with mainstream provision) to address barriers and achieve positive onward destinations.
In order to ensure we deliver as much as possible under this project, we are activley recruiting for a Community Engagement Officer. This is a role where the key aim is to stimulate communities, stakeholders, and partners to identify potential participants, to achieve targeted number of referrals.

Responsibilities:

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING ON A DAY TO DAY BASIS?

  • Full involvement in event management from planning, promotion, organising, along with completing relevant paperwork and data collection.
  • Monitor engagement data to ensure that diversity engagement targets are being met and design rectification plans if there are shortfalls.
  • Promote, market, and publicise services offered by the project to engage local communities, including the use of social media.
  • Liaise with marketing lead to capture coverage of events, success stories, and develop content promoting the benefits of the project.
  • Liaise with project partners and community groups on diary events and activity.

IN ORDER TO UNDERTAKE THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING KEY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE;

  • Experience of how to provide timely and accurate progress reports for management and funders as appropriate
  • Demonstrable experience where you have worked with community groups to understand their unique needs and design compelling engagement activities using the Community Navigator Tool
  • A fantastic ability to develop relationships with and motivate the Key workers to facilitate caseload activities to meet outcome goals and ensure a pipeline of participants are available.
  • Knowledge of how to undertake own project administrative tasks, including managing diary appointments, journey planning and completion of expense within in financial deadlines.
