We have an amazing opportunity for an empathetic and dynamic Care Assistant to join a team supporting a lovely lady in the York area to maximise her independence following a road traffic accident in 2015. The role will include personal care and moving and handling. You will engage with the client in their home and with community activities, promoting as much independence as possible.
This role is on the outskirts of York is commutable from – Leeds, York, Thirsk, Harrogate and all surrounding villages.

• Assist the client to exercise choice and control over their own lives as far as they are able in everyday matters but taking into consideration cognitive problems
• Liaise with and support the family as required
• Assist the client with personal care as needed
• Supporting the client to use local amenities such as shops and leisure facilities and attend community events
• Follow the service user plan as documented for the client
• Maintain accurate and confidential records
• Participate in moving and handling procedures as specified for the client
• Maintain professional boundaries with the client and their family members, adhering to direction from the case manager as appropriate
