DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL – PART - TIME AND RELIEF/CASUAL POSITIONS

We have part-time and casual positions in Guelph, Fergus, Mount Forest, and Erin as follows;
- Weekends
- Can be scheduled up to 24 hours a week and can pick-up additional shifts up to 40 hours a week
- Regularly scheduled at one or two residential home locations
- We offer exceptional wages starting at $27.04 hour

As a Direct Support Professional, you will be making a difference in a person’s life by providing direct support and being the person they turn to help them make opportunities happen. You will be supporting adults living with a developmental or physical disability, and who may experience emotional challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Promote community inclusion, independence and self-determination for the people we support
- Support individuals to identify, work towards and achieve their dreams and personal outcomes
- Participate in all activities of daily living (i.e. cleaning, cooking, medication dispensing, personal care, potential lifts and transfers, and may be required to stand, walk or site for long periods of time)
- Ability to problem-solve and work collaboratively within a team and with families
- Complete all required documentation accurately and timely
- Act as a resource and liaise with families and community agencies
