We’d like you to join us as a Driving Support Worker at our service Hall road based in Sutton.
Hall Road is a residential epilepsy specialist care provider with experience in supporting adults of all genders with other complex needs. Were committed to helping every person we support feel safe, happy, empowered enabling them to live the best life possible.
DRIVING REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to drive manual vehicles.
- Must be over 25 years of age for the insurance requirements
- Full Clean Driving Licence

Responsibilities:
- Supporting our clients with daily activities
- Supporting their care plans to establish routine
- Ensure the client feels safe, and stable within their day to day care
- Personal Care*
- Administrating medication (if required)
- Support service users with physical disabilities using trained techniques and aids e.g. hoists, wheelchairs, modified bathing equipment
- To be responsible for the transportation and escorting of our service users.
- Working closely with the managers, ensuring that service users are transported to all timetabled events, including activities, therapies and hospital appointments.
- Supporting service users, with the help of other staff members, whilst on organised days out and scheduled activities.
- To provide support to service users with their medical, physical and emotional needs whilst travelling, including administering emergency medication when necessary.
- To manage service user disputes should they occur whilst travelling.
- To help maintain or develop specific goals for individual service users under the direction of the relevant manager, where applicable.
- General weekly maintenance of company vehicle.
- Working with other drivers (where applicable) in order to ensure that all shifts are covered.
- To perform ad hoc duties when required, e.g. collecting and returning items to head office.
