Support Worker (Family Support and Wellbeing Service)

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Build trusting relationships with families to increase their safety, stability , wellbeing, and capacity
• Communicate with families openly and with respect for differences in personal, family, and cultural beliefs and values.
• Alongside families and other key stakeholders identify issues impacting on them and the support required to address these issues.
• Work with Case Worker to develop, maintain and review tailored case management plans to address areas of concern.
• Support clients to attend meetings
• Develop an exit strategy for clients from the program that provides for the continued provision of external support where required.

ABOUT YOUR ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE

• Knowledge of local services and community
• A knowledge of Child Protection procedures.
• Ability to communicate clearly and sensitively with children/young people and adults in different situations.
• Ability to write case notes and reports
• Full, clean open (not provisional) West Australian driver’s licence
• Must have a current ‘paid employment’ Working with Children card for WA
• Have a current ‘First Aid’ certificate
• Statutory Checks will be completed on all new staff as part of our recruitment process

As a Support Worker FSWS, you will undertake early intervention and preventative support work that builds the capacity of communities, families and individuals to address their needs using tailored case management services.
