Responsibilities:

A DAY IN THIS ROLE LOOKS LIKE .

As a Support Worker at Hestia, you will play a crucial role in our Mental Health and Complex Needs Service . Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our service users, guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence.

A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are:

  • Manage a caseload of Service Users with a range of complex health and support needs and their carers to manage their health and wellbeing.
  • Support service users to maintain their independence, identify their strengths and achieve their goals and aspirations, working in partnership with our subcontractors as required in order to achieve this, under the direction of the Team Manager.
  • Provide day to day care and support of the service users in line with the actions identified in the care/support plans.
  • To assist them to attend educational, leisure and health related activities, accompanying them as appropriate.
  • To assist with the administration of medication, supporting service users to transition towards managing their own medication where appropriate.
  • Actively monitor the health, wellbeing, safety and security of the service and its users ensuring all concerns are reported, followed up promptly in line with Hestia procedures.
  • To carry out domestic tasks (including cooking and cleaning of the home) when appropriate.
