Description:

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you looking for an opportunity to develop your support career?
We are seeking exceptional individuals to expand the talented ranks of our Care Team at Windermere House. In the role of a Support Worker, you will find yourself developing a strong and progressive position within the Nouvita network.

Your role with us is at the forefront of everything we do; from coordinating recreational groups to assisting in the preparation of assessments for current/future residents, you will be interacting with every department of the Home. Your primary task will be to ensure and implement the care/treatment/rehabilitation of service users by assisting our nurses, these responsibilities include:

  • Participation in the application of care plans while ensuring interventions and observations are communicated effectively with senior members of the team.
  • Assisting in the supervision of other healthcare/support staff.
  • Maintaining a safe therapeutic environment, beneficial to the needs of residents, relatives and other carers.
  • Promoting a positive attitude toward mental health & rehabilitation.

Aside to your hands-on responsibilities, there is also a small amount of administration that you will soon be familiar with. We use a group of intuitive programmes to make your job easier when:

  • Record keeping.
  • Booking your holidays.
  • Edit/create care-plans.
  • Publish/view your hours.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

We’re aware that many healthcare jobs require you to have specific certificates, that often come with hefty price-tags and long wait-lists. There are even unrecognised courses that do more to confuse than help; that’s why we began our own CQC-recognised training, to educate rather than obfuscate.
It’s important to remember that service users within Windermere House often suffer from acute mental health disorders that need specific treatment, implemented correctly. To this end, we’re proud to provide an in-house training programme of up to 11 annual classes that will prepare you for any eventuality.
During your induction into Nouvita, you will undergo a paid e-learning course, as well as a 5-day training programme (also paid) to equip you with everything you need to get started. After-which your continued development will be tailored to your, and the home’s needs.
