Position Summary:

• provide support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plan.
• Assist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing and grooming.
• Provide transportation assistance to clients.
• Provide respite care to clients and their families.
• Keep accurate and up to date records or clients’ care plans and progress.
• Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team.

• Follow health and safety regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with latest developments and best practices in the NDIS field.

REQUIREMENTS

• A minimum of high school or equivalent.
• Certificate 2 or 4 in individual support or willing to work towards completion(highly regarded).
• Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disability.
• Day shift, night shifts, sleepovers and weekends.
• Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work with a diverse client base, understanding the different support needs of clients based on their abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.
• Basic care and first aid skills.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in microsoft office suite.
