Description:

Real Community Services are currently looking for Support Workers to join our team in the Sunshine Coast region to provide high-quality in-home support and community access support to our NDIS participants.
We are looking for dedicated team members who are wanting to make a positive difference in people’s lives, who are looking for a challenging and fulfilling career and who are adaptable, resilient and able to problem solve.
As a Support worker for Real Community Services, you will be supporting people who have complex and challenging disabilities to live independently as well as achieving their goals and have a more valued role within their community.

ABOUT US

Real Community Services was established in January 2006 and now provides thousands of personal support hours per week to hundreds of people with disability, acquired brain injury or neurological conditions by focusing on empowering and improving their lifestyles. Providing quality services across the Sunshine Coast, Greater Brisbane, Ipswich as well as the Gold Coast areas.

SKILLS REQUIRED –

  • Be flexible with working arrangements (overnights, weekends, day and night shift
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Work experience or certificate in disability support work
  • Current first aid and CPR or willing to obtain
  • Blue card (working with children check) or willing to obtain before employment
  • National Disability worker screening clearance (yellow card) or willing to obtain before employment
  • Drivers Licence and own vehicle

Responsibilities:

AS A SUPPORT WORKER YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR BUT NOT LIMITED TO –

  • Assisting a participant with daily living tasks, such as personal care, skill development, mobility, domestic duties and community access.
  • Promoting community integration and supporting the participants in the ability to access social and recreational activities.
  • Collaborating with the participants families as you support their needs
  • Promoting independence, giving them their choice as you assist them with daily activities and tasks.
  • Empowering the participants to be independence and achieving their personal goals.
