Location and travel: This position will be based in Stevenage.
Hours and pay: You will work shift pattern, early or late’s (8am-4pm or 12Midday -8pm) 37.5 hours per week, weekends are currently not included however may become a requirement in the future. You will also be rostered to work on public holidays. There will be occasional unsocial hours based on the needs of the service. The actual salary of £29,848.00 Per Annum. This is approximately £15.30 per hour.
About the role:
One YMCA runs high quality housing services. This opportunity is part of a small and committed team supporting 16-18. You will support our clients to adjust to living in temporary shared supported accommodation, and work with children services to support them to identify move on accommodation. The service provides intensive wrap-around 24-hour support.
You will have experience supporting vulnerable young people with varying needs. You’ll also be committed to providing tailored individual support plans to help clients realise their full potential.
You will have a allocated caseload of residents that you will regularly meet with on a one to one basis.
This role will involve working well as part of a team as well as lone working. You will be required to assist clients to attend appointments within the community, encourage and oversee that the accommodation is kept clean & tidy, facilitate budgeting, support enrolment to College, ESOL Classes and meet frequently with your caseload to provide support.
An Enhanced Child & Adult Disclosure check is required for this role.
This is a Full Time role.
Hours per week: 37.50
Working Pattern: Shift Work (8am-4pm or 12 Midday-8pm) Mon-Fri.

  • Childcare provision in Hertfordshire
  • Family support through a network of children’s and family centres covering Hertfordshire and Bedford
  • Therapeutic and non-therapeutic support for male and female victims of domestic abuse and their children
  • Independent sexual violence services across Bedfordshire, Luton and Hertfordshire
  • Domestic abuse perpetrator reform programmes across Bedfordshire
  • Youth services offering emotional wellbeing support and youth club opportunities for 11-19 year olds alongside our National Airplay programme funded by the RAF Benevolent Fund
