DESCRIPTION:

We have an excellent opportunity for an Engineering Manager for our Residential Fire Business Unit located in Ropczyce, Poland. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for product development, industrialization, margin improvement, and sustaining fire suppression for EMEA. This position is based in Ropczyce, Poland and will report to the Associate Director, Engineering in North America.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• B.S. and M.S. Engineering degree: Mechanical, Chemical, or Materials engineering.
• Demonstrated experience leading new product programs from concept to commercialization.
• Demonstrated experience with resource planning, budgeting, and financial management, including business case development.
• Strong communication, negotiating, and influencing skills to communicate across functions.
• Strong comprehension of systems engineering principles and tools including requirements management, with demonstrated history integrating into product development programs.
• A demonstrated leadership style that is collaborative and decisive, with a bias toward speed.
• Proficient with PTC Creo & CAE tools including FEA and CFD.
• Proficient in Microsoft O365, including Excel, PowerPoint, & OneNote
• Proficient with PLM & Change Management Tools and Processes
• Proficient with ERP systems.
• Fluent in Polish and English. Preferences to other languages spoken: German and French.
• VISA sponsorship not supported.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

• Up to 25% including but not limited to Europe, Asia, USA, and Mexico.

• Provide strategic and technical leadership to the new product development and sustaining engineering teams located in Ropczyce, Poland. Lead a team of 10 employees: responsible for people management, organizational structure, development, performance management and compensation.
• Work with the EMEA product management team to establish clear technology strategy, products, and platform roadmaps.
• Work with the broader organization to prioritize and lead all technical workstreams related to Product Safety, Compliance, Business Continuity, New Product Development, Production Support and Margin Improvement. Maintain effective relationships with key stakeholder functions including factory support in Ropczyce, Poland.
• Responsible for the EMEA suppression RD&E budget, resource allocation, and planning.
• Align with the global Residential Fire engineering, Program Management Office, and business operations teams to synergize best practices and tools for product development quality and execution.
• Identify, implement, and sustain necessary product development software and hardware and lab testing resources required for the engineering team.
• Promote a culture of product development discipline, safety, quality, innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrate the highest standards of ethical conduct in leading and representing their team in the organization, ensuring the protection of the environment, development of human resources, and application of sound business practices.
