• Provide immediate supervision and management to a group of employees according to established policies and senior management guidance
• Provide mentoring to personnel to improve performance and enable career growth
• Provide regular feedback through regular 1-on-1s and performance reviews
• Determine methods and procedures on new assignments and coordinates activities of personnel
• Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
• Contribute to the development of new concepts, techniques and standards. Look for ways to challenge the norm and recommend positive changes
• Spend time performing individual contributor work related to firmware engineering
• Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
• Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
• Network with key contacts outside own area of expertise
• Display the ability to influence others in the organisation as to best practice development
• Be familiar with the work of teams other than your own
• Develop solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation
• Ensures solutions are consistent with organisation objectives
