Description:
COMPETITIVE HOURLY RATE, DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE
Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.
As the UK’s largest Healthcare Charity, we offer fantastic opportunities to experience a wide range of specialties, alongside leading consultants and like-minded professionals. If you want to grow your career and work with the best in their field, who respect and value what you bring, you’ll love working at Nuffield Health.
We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Cardiac Surgical Care Practitioners to join our brand new team in London. Operationally responsible for the SCP services in the hospital, you’ll enjoy the chance to make a real difference with Nuffield Health. We’ll expect you to actively contribute to service development, policies and strategies, and identify opportunities during the opening phase. You will support individuals and teams to deliver high quality, clinically effective patient care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Along the way, you’ll build strong relationships with consultants, hospital senior leaders, a wide range of healthcare professionals and, of course, patients. Working collaboratively alongside the consultants, you will ensure patients benefit from the best possible treatment and care.
Working alongside the Cardiothoracic Surgeons, the Surgical Care Practitioner will participate in operative procedures and aspects of pre, intra and post-operative care of surgical patients. The post holder will be expected to undertake these duties with a high degree of clinical skills and knowledge and the aim to provide high quality patient care throughout the surgical pathway.
The Surgical Care Practitioner will be able to provide skilled and consistent assistance in all aspects of elective and emergency adult cardiac and thoracic surgery. The post holder will demonstrate extensive expertise in endoscopic conduit harvesting – both vein and radial artery.
