Overview:
Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Survey Department Manager to join their team in Knoxville, TN!
Our survey professionals have the expertise to achieve highly accurate results while maintaining quality control over data collected, from field to office, and precision of the final client deliverables. Whether the project calls for administering conventional surveying methods, cutting-edge geospatial scanning techniques or a combination of both, our professionally licensed land surveyors, highly-trained office technicians and field crews work seamlessly together to provide the most responsive and consistent professional survey services available. Implementing the right approach for each project is what makes the difference and ensures our clients they are receiving the most accurate surveying and measurement services.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and manage department operations to ensure the quality of the technical products.
  • Establish effective long-range objectives, goals, and plans for department.
  • Implement decisions made by the division director.
  • Provide technical and management leadership.
  • Develop marketing program for department services in conjunction with discipline goals.
  • Advise and assist other departments when expert knowledge is required.
  • Manage activities so an adequate profit is earned on all projects handled by the department.
  • Review monthly productivity and man-hour utilization-rates, reports, and make adjustments as needed.
  • Assign projects to department staff, schedule their work, and review time sheets.

Qualifications:

  • Professional Surveyor License in Tennessee is required.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
  • Ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships which support the success of the Company.
  • Ability to lead effectively and efficiently, plan, organize and manage procedures, protocols and staff to achieve the desired results.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective leadership across large groups of employees.
  • Aptitude to learn and apply technical skills and knowledge.
