  • Bachelor’s degree or Associate Diploma in Surveying.
  • Strong experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in survey programs such as 12d and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to conduct design and quantity checks effectively.
  • Skilled in managing design information and intellectual property.
  • Familiarity with various survey technologies, including Trimble equipment and software.
  • Skills in effective verbal and written communications, plus a collaborative nature with the ability to work across the business with many stakeholders

Responsibilities:

WE HAVE AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY FOR AN EXPERIENCED CIVIL SURVEYOR TO JOIN OUR CIVIL CONSTRUCTION TEAM. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE EXTENSIVE KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE IN BOTH SURVEYING AND CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES. WE ARE SEEKING A QUICK-THINKING INDIVIDUAL WHO THRIVES IN HIGH-PRESSURE SITUATIONS.

As a mentor to junior surveyors, you will be responsible for guiding them in the use of equipment and techniques, while also demonstrating your ability to actively listen and follow complex instructions.
Reporting to the Survey Manager, you will play a crucial role in a multitude of survey engineering activities setting out, ensuring compliance with disclosure plans plus many more. This position will primarily be site-based, ideally, you are located on the Gold Coast and travel between sites will be required.
About You:

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO.

  • Deliver Engineering set out & Surveying across GL projects as required.
  • Efficient with 12d Model / 12d Field user and TBC with the ability to convey information in a variety of formats.
  • Competently operating Trimble Robotic and GPS Instruments / proficiency with machine guidance, an advantage.
  • Establishing control points and benchmarks for construction projects using a variety of TS and GPS techniques, ensuring compliance with established standards and specifications.
  • Calculating & adapting field files for the survey.
  • Performing topographic surveys, construction Setout surveys and as-built surveys to ensure accurate positioning and documentation of project sites.
  • Collection and management of field data.
  • Prepare survey reports, plans, and drawings, detailing survey data, measurements, and other relevant information as required.
  • Maintaining best practice survey data storage and file saving.
  • Manage and maintain effective liaison and communication with site foreman, survey manager and engineers on all matters relating to the construction activities and provide guidance to construction teams regarding survey-related matters.
