Description:

This is an exciting role if you want to apply your sustainability knowledge and gain experience in a company and industry where sustainability initiatives really make a difference. We are looking for a Sustainability Manager who will play a crucial role in driving GN’s ambitious sustainability agenda. Interested? Please read on.
You will be part of a growing, diverse, and fun sustainability team of 7 colleagues in which collaboration and team spirit are key values. The team reports to GN’s CFO. Beyond that, you will work most closely with R&D, product management, operations, sourcing and other functions.
As our new Sustainability Manager, you will take part in two very interesting fields of GN’s sustainability agenda: Firstly, you will be responsible for driving the sustainability agenda in SteelSeries, our world-leading gaming brand. Secondly, you will be responsible for the Human Rights agenda across GN.

Your contribution is appreciated and within SteelSeries, supported by a dedicated product sustainability team, you will coordinate our sustainability agenda on a strategic level which is focused on:

  • Designing products to be more sustainable through alternative materials and designing for circularity
  • Introducing more sustainable packaging
  • Getting ecolabels for our products, such as TCO
  • Executing LCAs to decarbonize future products effectively
  • Improving circularity through increased repair and product takeback
  • Developing a carbon removal program

Referring to your second main task, coordinating human rights across GN and our value chain, you will be the spider in the web being responsible for:

  • Tracking Human Rights related legislation and ensure we comply on topics such as conflict minerals, forced labor, CSDDD and the relevant standards in CSRD
  • Mapping our Human Rights impacts, and supporting the business in building policies, action plans and collaborations to address these

For both main tasks, you will not be alone, working closely with dedicated colleagues on all these topics.

To succeed in the role, we imagine that you

  • hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree within a relevant field
  • have solid experience working with corporate sustainability, ideally in a large, international company
  • have experience working with Human Rights in a corporate setting
  • are a true team player with excellent stakeholder management skills
  • are fluent in English

We encourage you to apply
Even if you don’t match all the above-mentioned skills, we will gladly receive your application if you think you have transferrable skills. We highly value a mindset, motivation, and energy, that aligns with our core values, to not only ensure success for you, but for your team and the wider GN organization as well.
