POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sustainability Procurement Specialist to join our procurement team. The Sustainability Procurement Specialist will support the implementation of sustainable sourcing practices, evaluate supplier sustainability performance, and assist in driving continuous improvement across our supply chain. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our sustainability efforts and make a meaningful impact on our company’s environmental and social performance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Sustainability, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, sustainability, or related field. Experience in sustainable sourcing or supplier sustainability preferred.
  • Knowledge of sustainability principles, frameworks, and standards, with a passion for driving positive environmental and social impact through responsible procurement practices.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, interpret, and analyze data to support decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with sustainability reporting platforms or software preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of sustainability strategies and initiatives for procurement, in collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Conduct research and analysis on sustainable procurement practices, including environmental, social, and ethical considerations, to inform decision-making and drive innovation.
  • Support supplier sustainability assessments and audits, collecting data and evaluating supplier performance against sustainability criteria and standards.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of supplier sustainability profiles, tracking key metrics and documentation to ensure compliance and transparency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability criteria into procurement processes, supplier selection criteria, and contract negotiations.
  • Participate in supplier engagement activities, including meetings, workshops, and trainings, to communicate sustainability expectations and foster partnerships based on shared values.
  • Assist in monitoring and tracking key sustainability metrics related to procurement activities, analyzing data to evaluate performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the preparation of sustainability reports, presentations, and communications to share progress and achievements internally and externally.
