THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced Sustainment Cost Analystwith sound financial acumen to support program budget forecasting and provide broad logistics and financial advice to key stakeholders. This role will primarily support the Air Combat Electronic Attack Sustainment Program (ACEASP) in support of the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) fleet of Super Hornet and Growler aircraft based at RAAF Base Amberley.
The role is integral to supporting the management of the Air Combat Electronic Attack System Project Office (ACEASPO) logistics budget, requiring a high level of communication with key stakeholders within the ACEASP and program customers.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

Your knowledge and experience will include:

  • 5+ years experience in a finance related role
  • Strong problem solving and excel skills
  • High level communication skills that facilitate interaction between the project staff and key internal and external customer groups
  • Data analysis and reporting

Desirable experience and skills:

  • Demonstrated understanding of Defence logistics and financial budgeting requirements, including management tools
  • Experience in Foreign Military Sales (FMS)

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will work to the ACEASP Senior Logistics Manager working closely with key stakeholders to develop and support the sustainment program’s Logistics Budget. We are looking for someone with both strong conceptual thinking/practical application skills and ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the Sustainment Program. Responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, development, and delivery of ACEASPO’s logistics budget forecasts and financial reporting
  • Active and ongoing stakeholder engagement and coordination across the sustainment program to ensure logistics financial reporting targets are met
  • Continually improve financial forecast systems to meet changing customer requirements
  • Promptly and intelligently respond to customer queries relating to the logistics sustainment budget and financial forecast
  • Working autonomously to develop solutions in a dynamic environment
