The SVP, Consulting Services establishes, directs, and executes the organization’s consulting services by delivering solutions, financial services expertise and strategies financial institutions can leverage to achieve their business goals. This will be done via thought leadership, data-driven analysis and creative solution delivery and execution. This role will be the spokesperson for the Advisors Plus brand and ensure the business is positioned to be of strategic value for the organization. This role will also partner with the organization’s executive leadership to set the department’s strategy, goals and priorities, and coordinate execution of the annual business plan. This position will develop and present comprehensive financial, marketing, and business plans for approval, and create scheduled and ad hoc reports. This role will also identify upside potential for Advisors Plus, and predict and mitigate potential threats or risks. The position will direct identification and pursuit of new business opportunities, including potential new consulting areas, solution bundles, sales channels and/or lines of business. And the role will ensure that all administrative support and client liaison functions are carried out in a pro-active and efficient manner.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Create vision and strategic/tactical roadmap for continued growth and development of Advisors Plus; Lead and support pursuit of new markets, business opportunities, and relationships, including but not limited to, potential new clients, products, technical advances and lines of business.
  • Interact effectively, proactively and responsively with the highest levels of executive management, both external senior executives of member financial institutions and internally within NewCo; Manage multiple projects and a national network of business relationships and contacts.
  • Identify, quantify, manage and mitigate potential marketplace, competitive, regulatory or financial risks to the business.
  • Act as a professional resource and mentor in contributing both to client engagements and internal discussions with Advisors Plus consultants regarding their specific areas of expertise; Lead and mentor preparation, articulation, and execution of business cases and implementation plans.
  • Engage C-suite executives in dialogue and problem solving and support consulting staff in doing same, to build relationships and identify new business opportunities in pursuit of outstanding member satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the organization’s revenue growth by achieving consulting revenue goals.
  • Direct development and presentation of content for use in marketing and sales collateral, public relations, trade press, and related promotional materials.
  • Actively promote the organization’s value as a leading technology and financial services company.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of trends and developments within financial services industry to resolve future strategies and potential mutually beneficial partnership opportunities.
  • Speak at, participate in panel discussions at and attend industry trade shows, seminars, user groups, and conferences as appropriate and feasible.
  • Makes good hiring decisions and retains exceptional talent aligned to emerging business needs, ensures diverse and effective succession plans for all roles; encourages mobility and helps team members find stretch opportunities to expand their experience and skills.
  • Identifies business risks, implements effective controls, minimizes risks and successfully evaluates controls.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • Provide direction and leadership to staff; guide, coach, mentor and develop staff ensuring compliance with processes and procedures
  • Handle interviewing, hiring, promotions, transfers, performance appraisals, compensation, counseling and termination of staff
  • Develop and maintain staff by applying the necessary training and leadership that will allow internal growth and advancement
  • Direct staff, to ensure that all duties are performed according to department performance standards

Position Specifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Fifteen (15) years experience in financial services or related industry required.
  • Ten (10) years consulting experience required.
  • Five (5) years experience in financial planning and analysis, performance management, budget development, and profit and loss reporting required.

Pay Equity
PSCU is committed to pay equity and a competitive benefits package. The hiring amount for this position based on relevant experience and internal equity; the pay range is:
$155,600.00
to

$272,300.00

  • Note: The amount shown is based on full time annual salary and would be prorated based on role.

In addition this position is eligible for an incentive plan, based on performance.
