Description:

ABOUT THE JOB:

Kent is looking for a SVP – HR Operations Europe, Middle East and Africa to be based in the UAE, plays a pivotal role in leading and managing the human resources function within the organization. This position is responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs to support the overall business objectives while fostering a positive and inclusive work culture. The SVP of HR Operations overseas various HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and benefits, HRIS, compliance, and organizational development.

YOUR KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is highly desirable.

Communication:

  • Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.

Behavior/ Core Competencies:

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs that drive business results.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing HR team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strategic thinker with analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute HR strategies, policies, and programs aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and goals.
  • Lead and manage the HR team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure effective performance and professional development.
  • Oversee talent acquisition activities, including recruitment, selection, onboarding, and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  • Develop and implement performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, feedback mechanisms, and career development plans.
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, grievances, and ensuring a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Develop and administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness, fairness, and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Oversee HRIS systems and processes, ensuring data accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, regulations, and industry standards, staying abreast of changes and implementing necessary updates.
  • Drive organizational development initiatives, including succession planning, leadership development, training, and workforce planning.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and department heads to understand business needs and align HR strategies and initiatives accordingly.
  • Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the executive team on HR-related matters, providing insights, recommendations, and solutions to support business objectives.
  • Foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion, promoting awareness, education, and initiatives to create a respectful and supportive workplace for all employees.
  • Represent the organization externally on HR-related matters, including participation in industry forums, conferences, and partnerships.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee’s skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee’s current workload and with respect to their professional development.
