KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent understanding of 5G NR and 3GPP cellular networks
  • Practical experience with network vendors (e.g. Nokia, Ericsson, Samsung, Huawei & ZTE)
  • Extensive knowledge in cellular protocols (e.g. PHY, MAC, RLC, RRC, NAS, etc.)
  • Comprehensive log analysis, troubleshooting, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficient with test automation and scripting (e.g. Python)Clear communicator capable of driving multiple projects across many teams

DESCRIPTION

The Wireless Technologies and Eco-Systems (WTE) organisation builds and seamlessly integrates technologies that enrich peoples’ lives and deliver the best user-experience. Your valuable work will impact the lives of hundreds of millions of Apple users worldwide every day. As a Test Engineer in our IODT team, you’ll focus on testing cellular functionality in Apple’s innovative devices to uncover bugs in our lab environment before hitting the field. Through diagnostics, analytics and experiments you’ll find opportunities for improvement. This will include developing test automation scripts and debugging capabilities to improve quality and better understand results. Based in Munich, we work hand in hand with teams across Apple worldwide. We collaborate with other passionate engineers working on standardization, firmware/protocol development, Performance, QA and Carrier engineering to drive enhancement proposals into production. This means evening meetings with teams outside Germany and limited international travel may be required in the future. If you are passionate about cellular technologies, we’d love to hear from you!
