ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Accredited Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (AUSTSWIM or equivalent)
- Teacher of Infants and Preschool Aquatics
- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
OTHER DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Teacher Developing Competitive Strokes or equivalent
- Teacher of Aquatics - Access and Inclusion
- Teacher of Adults

Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Infant and Preschool Swim Teacher at Hawthorn Aquatic and Leisure Centre, you will design and implement lesson plans that foster swimming skills in children from infancy through school age. You will combine stroke development with water safety to boost your students’ confidence and abilities in the water. Your role will include:
- Structure and design of lessons with appropriate activities that challenge and develop your students swimming and water safety ability
- Recommending students for level progression as appropriate
- Teaching and modeling effective problem solving skills and conflict resolution skills
This is a casual role with an hourly rate of $35.71 + super.
