Description:
We are looking for an experienced Day time Switchboard Assistant.
To work as a team member with flexible approach. The operator is responsible for the efficient performance of the switchboard duties. Providing assistance for patients, visitors and staff. This position is for 28 hrs and day shift pattern. This is on an 3 week rolling rota including weekends
Operating the Trust Switchboard and providing an efficient and sympathetic approach to calls received from staff, service users and members of the public.
Often dealing with patients with complex needs and barriers to understanding.
Carrying out a range of administrative and secretarial tasks associated with the reception and switchboard, e.g. updating mobile phone records, meet and greet staff and visitors, issue keys.
Arrange transport for staff, patients, visitors and important clinical information, medicines and pathology samples.
Respond to emergency situations as and when required e.g. respond to fire alarms, intruder alarms, lone worker devices.
Carrying out the full range of reception duties, assisting patients, staff and visitors when necessary.
Flexible approach to both day and night shift patterns as shifts cover a 24 hour period every day.
