Switchboard Operator

The University is seeking to appoint a switchboard operator at its busy Switchboard facility which provides service to staff, students and the general public. The successful candidate will be a member of the Department of Human Resources, will report to the HR Co-ordinator, Central Services and will work closely across the team to support a variety of projects across their remit. This role will be onsite in University College Cork.
This role does not suit remote working, at this time, due to the nature of the work.

• Salary: €28,806 – €40,842 (Scale B) / €25,785 - €38,988 (Scale A)
• (revised higher scale from 01 January 2024 to be advised)

Candidates should note that entry will be at the minimum of the scale and the rate of remuneration may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government pay policy. Candidates should note that different pay and conditions may apply if, immediately prior to appointment, the appointee is a serving civil or public servant at an analogous grade. Increments will be payable in line with current Government Policy
