JOB DESCRIPTION

The Syndicated Loan Administrator is responsible for managing the daily operational requirements of syndicated loan relationships. This role involves providing comprehensive administrative and operational support to relationship managers, syndicators, and high-profile borrowers. The administrator ensures that all borrower or agent requests comply with the terms of credit agreements and meets U.S. Bank’s operating, regulatory, and reporting standards. The role also includes facilitating communication between internal and external stakeholders and developing strategies for money movement, including managing all incoming and outgoing wires. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills. They will have a strong understanding of commercial lending and experience with foreign currency transactions. The candidate should be adept at managing multiple tasks and high-profile clients efficiently and accurately, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily administrative and operational support for syndicated loans, ensuring timely processing of requests on the system of record.
  • Review attorney-prepared loan documents to ensure they meet all operational, regulatory, and reporting requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between business lines and lender banks, facilitating communication and coordination internally and externally.
  • Develop and manage strategies for money movement, handling all incoming and outgoing wires.
  • Handle funds receiving and disbursement for borrowers, maintaining organization and multitasking capabilities.
  • Utilize internal programs such as Loan IQ, ALS, Hogan, Cmod, FileNet, and Production Database to manage loan processes.
  • Manage high-profile clients with significant loan amounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance under close scrutiny.
  • Preferably, manage commercial lending portfolios with foreign currency exposure and letters of credit, understanding commercial pricing and agent/non-agent closing processes.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management, or equivalent work experience
  • Four to six years of related experience

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in commercial lending, particularly within syndicated loans.
  • Understanding of commercial pricing and letters of credit.
  • Foreign currency experience is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop effective money movement strategies.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Excellent communication skills, primarily via email (95% of communication).
  • Attention to detail and strong time management abilities.
  • Experience with internal loan management systems (Loan IQ, ALS, Hogan, Cmod, FileNet).
