EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar role within the Defense & Space industry.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. Ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational norms.
  • Job includes accepting direction from the technical lead on such tasks as managing user accounts, configuring and installing hardware and software, operating systems (PCs, servers, and workstations), troubleshooting network issues, performing backups, documenting configurations, and updating systems in a development lab environment. Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying scheduled job completion.
