Radiance is searching for an experienced Systems Administrator to provide support to critical computer systems and network infrastructure within the United States Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) Systems Engineering Directorate (SED). The qualified candidate will provide design, maintenance, sustainment, and enhancement support for the architecture in a classified and unclassified environment; ensure compliance with applicable information assurance requirements; ensure 24/7 continuity of operations; and create and update relevant system documents. Work hours are normal business hours during a regular workweek, however, occasional support during non-business hours may be required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Visualize and document architectures/standards and communicate them clearly
  • Work with teams across IT to ensure architectures are cohesive, adhere to enterprise standards, and that systems are scalable, resilient, secure, highly available, and easy to operate
  • Evaluate technical fit of laboratory systems and keep up to date with industry standards
  • Create and supporting AD GPO’s and help w/ high level SCCM troubleshooting\support
  • Ability to evaluate and gain comprehension of new technologies to assist with new requirement implementation efforts.
  • Experience with supporting software development environments that utilize commercial, COTS, GOTS, and custom tooling.
  • Experience performing system design, hardware/software implementation and integration, and general infrastructure support.
  • Experience preparing documentation related to system configurations and baselines.
  • Experience with providing backup and recovery services; manage file systems and disk space.
  • Experience with desktop and server virtualization within VMWare vSphere and EXSI.
  • Provide daily, on-site, support for the operations/maintenance.
  • Performs troubleshooting for complex hardware, software and network problems
  • Works on multiple projects as a project team member, occasionally as a project leader
  • Experience in User account and access control management (Active Directory, LDAP, User Access Control) in a domain or stand-alone environment.

Required Experience

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience as a System Administrator, performing patching and configuring systems to be compliant with DoD standards and compliance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively interface with numerous cognizant security agencies, customers, and senior management.

Required Skills

  • US citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Experience with M365 and working knowledge of Azure AD
  • Strong experience with MS Active Directory, access controls and general user administration principles
  • Strong experience creating/managing Group Policy Objects (GPOs)

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a System Administrator at an organization of similar size and complexity.
  • Experience creating Powershell scripts
  • Knowledge of Information Assurance and Cyber Security.
  • Knowledge and experience with various network administration, monitoring, and security tools (Wireshark, Nessus).
  • Experience with SIEM tools, VMWare, NetApp, endpoint security tools.
  • Familiar with CMMC and NIST/DFARS compliance security controls and how to implement on various OS computer systems.
