JOB SUMMARY:

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals as a Systems Administrator in the high-stakes environment of the U.S. Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba (NSGB) IT Services Program.
Your primary mission will be to provide operational and maintenance (O&M) support for critical system infrastructure, ensuring seamless functionality for approximately 400 users across NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and JWICS networks.
Your role will extend to O&M support for Special Access System infrastructure for approximately 150 users and Printer infrastructure, including Pharos Secure Print. You will be at the forefront of technology, tasked with developing, implementing, managing, and maintaining Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) for a variety of clients and server virtualization technologies.
Additionally, you’ll be responsible for the health and performance of the SQL Database infrastructure and OMC server and desktop-based software applications. Data integrity is paramount, and you’ll provide robust data backup and restoration capabilities for NIPRNET, SIPRNET, JWICS, and Special Access Systems.
Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting the replication of network file share volumes via Distributed Files System w/ Replication (DFS-R) between the NCR and NSGB locations. You’ll also provide crucial support for storage area network (SAN) and encrypted file storage capabilities, ensuring data security and accessibility.
Compliance with DOD security standards is a top priority, and you’ll play a key role in creating and maintaining standalone workstation images. Your proficiency in systems recovery and repair operations, employing industry best practices for troubleshooting and fault isolation, will be essential.
Lastly, you’ll contribute to the overall security posture of the program by facilitating the distribution and installation of security patches, safeguarding the integrity of the systems and data.

Job Requirements:

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• 7+ years of experience with Microsoft System Administration in an enterprise environment, including Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policies, and Visual Basic Scripting
• 4+ years of experience leading tasks of a similar size/scope
• 4+ years of experience with the following IT disciplines:
• Security configuration of Windows Server/Windows 10 and/or Windows 11
• Microsoft SCCM or similar technologies
• Maintaining PKI Infrastructure
• Implementing and managing VDI Infrastructure
• Server Virtualization Technologies
• Serve as supervisor for their respective teams and liaison between Government Leadership and Contractor PM
• Provide Weekly Action Report every Monday
• Develops travel plan for Contractors traveling to NSGB in support of hearings
• Preferred: 3+years’ experience with Vormetric data encryption solutions
• Provide operational and maintenance (O&M) support for NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and JWICS system infrastructure for approximately 400 users
• Support O&M for Special Access System infrastructure for approximately 150 users
• Provide O&M support for Printer infrastructure, to include Pharos Secure Print
• Develop, implement, manage, and maintain VDI for thick/thin/zero clients and server virtualization technologies
• Provide O&M support for SQL Database infrastructure, OMC server and desktop-based software applications
• Provide data backup and restoration capabilities for NIPRNET, SIPRNET, JWICS, and Special Access Systems
• Support replication of network file share volumes via Distributed Files System w/ Replication (DFS-R) between the NCR and NSGB locations
• Provide support for storage area network (SAN) and encrypted file storage capabilities
• Create/maintain standalone workstation images by DOD security standards

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS

• High School graduate
• Required certifications:
• Computing Environment Certifications listed below: VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
• PLUS, one of the following:
• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) Core Infrastructure,
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification
• One of the following DoD 8570.01M baseline certifications:
• CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) Continuing Education (CE)
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
• 4-7 years supporting NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICSMust have the 3 certifications listed above: VCP; Microsoft, (CASP, CISSP, or CISM)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
