The System Administrator position is a key part of BCI’s proactive approach to client service. We believe the best service request is the one that never happens. The successful candidate will work directly with clients, users, and other BCI team members as part of the Professional Services, Central Services, and Support teams. This position is the face of BCI to our managed service clients. Our system admins are individuals who possess a high attention to detail; they like finding and fixing problems; at the same time interacting daily with our clients at all levels of their organizations.

For the System Administrator position, you will need to:
- Come with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in IT Infrastructure, System Admin, Network Admin; preference given to those who have worked for an MSP or MSSP.
- Understand, configure, optimize, and troubleshoot systems such as: MFA, SSO, EDR, MDR, SIEM, SASE, Application Allowlisting, Zero Trust Environments, Firewalls, Switches, APs, Virtual and Cloud infrastructure, Network & Domain Monitoring, RMM, M365, GWS, Azure, Backup, Servers, Workstations, Mobile. All things cyber & networked.
- Adapt quickly to support systems in diverse environments and industries. BOTH onsite and remotely.
- Possess a high attention to detail.
- Communicate, interact, and coordinate directly with clients to
- schedule and implement regular assessments using our standards alignment tool.
- arrange follow up work as a result from the assessments.
- implement projects and resolve issues, both onsite and offsite.
- make recommendations and enter requests on their behalf to resolve any opportunities for improvements found during the assessment.
- understand their requirements and explain technology.
- ensure systems are functioning optimally during assessment.
- Able to handle client sensitive information and data, with assurance of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Troubleshoot and repair existing hardware and software as required.
- Responsible for surveying, following up and documenting client systems. Following company and industry best practices
- Investigate and research existing and new technologies to match client needs.
- Work directly with the Service Manager and Professional Services team to order products, hardware, or software.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle with the ability to travel independently within southern Ontario. Able to lift and carry up to 50lbs. Able to climb a 4-6 ft ladder.
- Work both from our office and client sites, Monday to Friday - 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. However, like any position in technology, some evening and weekend work is required (Please note this is NOT a remote position).
- Assist the rest of the BCI team with your knowledge & insights from clients – that could include project work, central services, and on occasion, the service desk.
