Description:
Overview:
Experienced Systems Administrator responsible for the day-to-day operation of computer system (Local Area Network) supporting U.S. Navy Submarine crews. Position is on-site only due to system classification. With support of the system engineers, you will participate with the installation, monitoring, patching, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network and system hardware and software. You will be responsible for initial troubleshooting of system performance issues, and working with the system engineers to analyze and resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion. You will be required to provide end-user training and assist users with system-related problems. You will be required to assist third-party software vendors with the installation, maintenance and updates of their installed software in accordance with contract and established procedures. The Systems Administrator is also responsible in assisting the organization’s Security Officer and Project Lead/Supervisor with enforcing all governing policies and procedures.
