Description:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with virtualization technologies including vSphere or Hyper-V.
  • Experience with networking concepts, OSI model, TCP/IP troubleshooting, and VLANs.
  • Experience with basic cybersecurity concepts and vulnerability management.
  • Experience with hardening per NISPOM, RMF, DISA STIGs, NIST 800-171, etc.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Security+ Certification.
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
  • Ability to work in office as needed in Fulton, MD.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Self-driven and highly motivated with strong problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with Container technologies, DevOps concepts, and/or software development experience
  • Proficiency in scripting via bash and/or Powershell
  • A Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), RedHat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA), VMWare VCP, or other industry relevant certifications
  • Active Secret Security Clearance

We are searching for an enthusiastic, talented Professional System and Network Administrator as we expand our internal IT team to support our corporate infrastructure and various lab environments.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • In this role, you will assist in implementation and integration of IT solutions and infrastructure deployments that enhance resiliency and availability of critical services and maintenance of existing technologies deployed throughout the enterprise.
  • Build and patch systems
  • Troubleshoot program lab environments.
  • Harden systems per cyber compliance requirements.
  • Perform network administration by building and deploying new networks, and refining and/or providing troubleshooting expertise to diagnose issues that may present itself within lab environments.
  • Windows and Linux system administration of program and lab related systems
  • Basic network administration, VLAN creation, switch upgrades
  • Coordination of change management requests related to assigned systems
  • System hardening/auditing against industry baselines such as CIS, DISA STIGs, NIST, etc
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are critical to convey information in a tactful manner and at the technical proficiency of the audience and keeping up to date with current technology trends and future innovations.
