THE TEAM, POSITION & MISSION

Your role will focus on our physical hybrid environment in Berlin, where we collaboratively manage our complex multi data center infrastructure. Working both onsite and remotely, we support each other and our clients to deliver optimal solutions for complex challenges. Our responsibilities encompass our Data Centers, Private Cloud, Network, Storage, Internal Systems, and their respective backup systems. We build and maintain the backbone that ensures a stable and partially mission-critical environment for our customers.

Your key areas of responsibility as System Engineer

• You will work in an experienced team that implements and maintains all critical systems to provide the best customer experience
• Your main focus is the company’s infrastructure, including network, backup, storage, private cloud, and other systems, with a strong emphasis on the physical hardware aspects
• You operate and improve a completely hybrid environment
• You troubleshoot and maintain a 24×7 landscape containing various technologies
• You are responsible for specific topics (skill-based) and have the freedom to develop them
• You don’t hesitate to get your hands dirty in our DC locations

IT’S NOT A REQUIREMENT BUT IT WOULD BE A PLUS IF YOU ALSO HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH

• You have experience with virtualization and container technologies (VMware, XEN, KVM, Docker, Kubernetes)
• You have experience in networking and block storage solutions
• You can script and code (Bash, Python, and/or Go)
• You have experience working hands-on in a data center
