Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of project specific documentation such as (but not limited to):
  • Functional Design Specifications (FDS)
  • Network Diagrams
  • Device Schedules
  • Testing Workbooks & Commissioning Documentation
  • Points lists for interfaced systems
  • Software Design Flow Charts
  • Development of HMI/GUI User Interfaces by creating new or updating existing software graphics, diagrams, configurations, and databases.
  • Hardware configuration, communication setup and “in-house” testing of developed solutions.
  • Ability to solve problems logically and troubleshoot system faults.
  • Follow department procedures and participate in the development of new and existing best practices, procedures and template documentation.
  • Be able to collaborate with team members as well as work alone.
  • Administration in the management of projects from inception to on-site commissioning and client hand over.
  • Adaptable to meet project demands and deadlines.
  • Be flexible to travel to site and support project commissioning activities for developed solutions.

Essential Criteria

  • Electrical/Automation/Control Engineering qualification with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a similar role
  • Strong background across a range of PLC systems
  • Be efficiently organised and able to prioritise multiple tasks
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • International site travel is an essential requirement for this position
