System Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Provide support and ensure the stability of POS, network, and systems.
• Perform 1st level troubleshooting for IT hardware and operational systems.
• Manage and ensure the effectiveness of security solutions, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems.
• Maintain and upgrade the existing network infrastructure as required.
• Offer guidance and advice to colleagues to uphold best practices for systems and technology usage within the company.
• Oversee monitoring and execution of patch management activities.
• Participate in the planning and implementation of systems and technologies to meet future business needs.
• Manage and maintain active relationships with key vendors and partners.
• Collaborate with vendors, project leads, and users to resolve issues, ensuring that solutions are viable and consistent.
• Keep accurate and updated records of IT assets, purchases, and leases.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Diploma in Computer Science, Business Information Technology, or a relevant field.
• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Meticulous with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Self-driven and proactive with a strong sense of initiative.
• Basic network knowledge and experience with firewalls are advantageous.
• ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.
