Description:
The System Engineer - West will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex IT systems and networks in the western region. This role will involve troubleshooting technical issues, optimizing system performance, and providing support to end users. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a solid understanding of network infrastructure, and experience with cloud technologies.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or diploma in related field.
- Proven experience as a system engineer specializing in Active Directory and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Strong understanding of Active Directory architecture, design principles, and best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex AD and Microsoft 365 issues.
- Proven experience as a VMware engineer or administrator managing large-scale vSphere environments.
- Strong understanding of VMware vSphere architecture, components, and features, including ESXi, vCenter Server, vSAN, and vSphere High Availability (HA)
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP).
- Experience with storage technologies, including SAN (e.g., Fibre Channel, iSCSI), NAS (e.g., NFS, CIFS), and RAID configurations.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions, including backup software (e.g., Veeam, Commvault) and replication technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions for server and storage environments to ensure data protection and business continuity.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve problems.
- Collaborate with network engineers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to integrate server and storage infrastructure with network and security components.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in technology to recommend and implement innovative solutions and improvements.
Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, IT administrators, and helpdesk staff.
