System Engineer (Safety)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Provide system safety engineering support for the assessments and management of product safety.
• Work with the system safety team and various stakeholders to address safety of the system/ product.
• Develop System Safety Programme Plan (SSPP), Trial Safety Assessment Report (TSAR), Milestone Safety Assessment Report and In-Service Safety Assessment Report (SAR).
• Perform system safety tasks such as Preliminary Hazard List (PHL), Preliminary Hazard Analysis(PHA), System Hazard Analysis (SHA), Subsystem Hazard analysis (SSHA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Safety Critical Items/Characteristics Identification, Safety Requirement Verifications Checklist etc for munition/weapon programmes.
• Analyze mainly munition/weapon systems to identify hazards, categorize risks and recommend & track control measures to eliminate/ reduce the mishap risk.
• Track and verify implementation of hazard control measures in the design, processes and procedures.
• Evaluate Engineering Change Requests to assess impact on safety.
• Assist in the standardisation and enhancement of processes and methodologies for system safety.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree preferably in Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electronics.
• Experience in engineering field.
• Able to interact well in diverse team environment.
• Good communication and technical writing skills.
• Candidate should possess strong analytical mindset.
• Meticulous and able to learn and apply new knowledge in short period of time.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
