Description:

Valiant is looking for an experienced System Integration Engineer to join our professional team at the Joint Multinational Simulation Center (JMSC), headquartered in Grafenwoehr, Germany providing support to the Mission Training Complex Capabilities Program (MTCCS).

WHO WE ARE:

Our team provides a wide spectrum of simulations in Windows 10, Windows Server 2016-2019, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7/8, and VMWare environments. Some training sites only let you operate a few simulations, but at JMSC you will have the opportunity to experience and learn many of these systems and simulations to include:

  • Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) WARSIM
  • Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation (JCATS)
  • Low Overhead Training System (LOTS)
  • Joint Deployment Logistics Model (JDLM)
  • Division Exercise Training and Review System (DXTRS)
  • Mission Command Systems (AMCS) to include: ADSI, AFATDS, EMT, AMDWS, TAIS, DCGS-A, JCR, JBC-P, TIGR, GCCS-A, BCCS, TSI, CPCE, JADOCS, ASTi (Voisus)
  • Multiple Unified Simulation Environment (MUSE) and Night Vision Image Generator (NVIG)
  • Basic Encyclopedia Server (BE Server)
  • Blue Eye full-motion video streaming and Haivision media encoders… and many more in the Joint Live, Virtual, and Constructive (JLVC) and JLCCTC federation environments.
  • Our team doesn’t expect you to know all of these systems right away and, therefore, offers a comprehensive hands-on training experience to mold you into a simulations tour-de-force. You will be part of the exciting world of creating simulation experiences to enhance the training of our United States military and multinational NATO partners and have the opportunity to learn from some of the industry’s leading experts in the field. The Joint Multinational Simulation Center is a highly respected organization and your contributions will directly result in real-world success.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience OR an associate’s degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience OR a major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience OR 11 years of recent specialized experience.
  • An U.S. Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI access if needed. The standard job is normally Secret clearance only. Those with TS/SCI clearance will have SCIF access for higher classification system access when absolutely necessary although we already have a dedicated SCIF team so this is rare.
  • Technical Expert Status Accreditation (TESA) and Ordinarily Resident (OR) applicants are welcome.
  • Possess DoD 8570.01M IAT II certification: CompTIA Security+ or higher Information Assurance certification. This requirement cannot be waived.

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Windows 10 OS, Linux OS, and/or VMWare.
  • Experience configuring, operating, administering, troubleshooting and maintaining at least one or more of the following simulations and communications software: JLCCTC / Warfighter’s Simulation (WARSIM), JCATS, LOTS, and any of the other systems mentioned above. On-the-job training is readily available to get you up to speed in your weak areas.
  • Outstanding work ethic, personal integrity, superior analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to document and update processes and perform tasks under deadlines.
  • Ability to work with senior Government and Industry leaders.
  • Possess a very high degree of attention to detail. Capable of working at a computer terminal for extended periods such as configuring systems and monitoring simulations in real-time.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, day or night, for consecutive days or several weeks during large-scale exercises. We have a few large exercises a year to include Defender Europe, Avenger Triad, and Dynamic Front. We do our best to mix up the personnel and fairly distribute shift requirements on a rotational basis.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills are an asset.
  • We want individuals who are passionate about learning and bettering themselves and our organization. We give you the tools for success and will support you along the way. Apply today and be part of a rewarding experience!
